Usage Method
Before installation, thoroughly clean the shaft diameter, bearing housing, inner and outer rings of the bearing to remove oil stains, burrs and impurities. Adopt press fitting or hot fitting for installation, and the hot fitting temperature shall not exceed 120℃. Never strike the bearing directly with hard tools. Ensure good coaxiality between the shaft and the bearing housing. Check the rotation flexibility after installation to make sure no jamming or abnormal noise occurs. Refill lubricating grease regularly during operation. Avoid long-term overload, eccentric load, high temperature, humidity and heavy dust working environment. Routine maintenance can effectively prevent rusting and premature wear.
Service Life
The service life of 6218 deep groove ball bearing depends on working conditions, installation precision, lubrication maintenance and actual load. Under normal temperature, rated load, standard installation and regular lubrication, its service life can reach 4–6 years. In light-load, clean and constant-temperature conditions, it can last 6–8 years. Under harsh conditions such as heavy load, high speed, 24-hour continuous operation, dust and humidity, the service life is about 2–3 years. Proper daily maintenance can significantly extend the overall service life of the bearing.
